Vehicle Pet Barrier (Partition) Question?
I am looking into a vehicle pet barrier (partition) for one of our vehicles. We are taking our two dogs on vacation with us to the shore and I want something to keep them in the back seat and not distract me while I'm driving.
The vehicle is a Dodge Stratus and the model I'm looking at is made by Pet Trex. It is a tubular steel design and has a center section so they can't through near the armrest hole. Has anybody had experience with this model or can recommend another good one that isn't super expensive. Thanks!

I hate to say it but I have tried all different kinds of the pet barriers like you have described, not sure if same brand tho. I have not had any luck no matter how expensive. They never stay up or fit right, it can be very frustrating. I have not experienced the cloth net ones but if your dog's are calm this might be a better alternative as they are Velcro and might have a better fit. I ended up buying the seat belt harnesses for my dogs. It's a harness that fits on them and the seat belt loops through the back, so far this has worked great. The dogs can still lay down but it keeps them from jumping around or moving too much.
Good luck!for the back seat I would recommend a harness that can be hooked to the seat belt. check the link.I agree with Angie, you'd be better off getting them seat belt harnesses than investing in a pet barrier. They never go on like they say they do my dog still climbes over it she doesn't care, it only stops her from standing on the arm rest but she still hangs her head over it, if you stop suddenly they will fly into it cept this time they wont be flying to the front of the car. The only safe item is a seatbelt for dogs, not the pet barrier, mine was a pain to install.
