Quality pet beds seem to be hard to find nowadays!!! My dog chewed up his last one... I'm thinking about maybe to just leave him without one as punishment... or maybe not?
Well anyway, whats a cheap but durable pet bed?
a quilt folded up works for my mastiffTaking away his bed won't teach him that what he did was wrong, he will just know that he doesn't have a bed.
I just use an old folded up blanket for my dogs.Cheap and durable don't usually go hand in hand when speaking about quality of anything!
I suggest you give the dog some old comforters to lay on instead of a bed. You can buy then dirt cheap at second hand stores , thrift shops, good will stores.
No sense in the punishing the dog by not giving him anything to lay on. He will have no clue why he doesn't get a bed. Just switch to cheap blankets.haha, my bed. (trust me, I have no choice.)I don't your breed size, but we had 2 large basset hounds. The best value dog beds I found was at "Sam's Club". We needed the large beds & compared $ 15 - $ 20 we paid at "Sam's" to nearby stores $ 50 - $ 75. We went through 3 or 4 beds from "Sam's" at a price we would've only gotten one bed somewhere else. There was no difference in quality either.
