since the car pool lane clearly reads 3 passengers, and not human beings, do pets count as a passengers?
per dictionary.com the definition of passenger = commuter, customer, drop, excursionist, fare*, hitchhiker, load, patron, pilgrim, rider, seat cover, tourist, traveler, voyager, wanderer, wayfarer
Nope, pets are considered cargo, and not passenegers. Sorry.no it doesn't....u r really reaching :)All of those definitions assume they're human, with the exception of seat cover. You'll get the ticket and I doubt you'd win the fight. I have heard of a pregnant woman arguing her way out of a ticket with the officer because she counted an unborn child, but I doubt even that would hold up in court.passenger
n : a traveler riding in a vehicle (a boat or bus or car or plane or train etc) who is not operating it [syn: rider]
